The Millennium Falcons competed at the 2018 San Diego Regional from March 8th to 10th. On Friday, we were able to keep a perfect 5-0 record which put us in 1st seed. On Sunday, we lost 2 out of the 3 matches we played. At the end of the qualification rounds, we place 11th and were picked up by the 4th seed alliance captain, team 3749:Team Optix. We rounded off our alliance with the addition of team 4486: Blue Prints.

In the playoffs, we had our first match against the 5th seeded alliance. We won the first match 363-221. However, during our following two matches in the quarterfinals, we had motor controller issues that disallowed us from scoring in the scale. In the end, we fell 1-2 in the quarterfinals.

Although we walked away without a win, we are extremely proud of our accomplishments both on and off the field. We hope to use everything that we learned in the San Diego Regional to improve and prepare for the upcoming Aerospace Regional, which we will be competing at from April 5th to 7th.
