Chezy Champs 2018 Recap

By: Charles "Chuckles" Bao

Located in San Jose, California, this year’s Chezy Champs competition was our first competition of fall. Hosted by the Cheesy Poofs (254), the annual competition is joined by top teams from all over the west coast. Our team headed up on September 28th for the competition. Upon arrival, we fought through quarterfinals, eventually reaching the qualification rounds. We entered qualifications with the CyberKnights (4911), Falcon Robotics (842), and team Gryffingear (5012). With this alliance, our team ended the competition as quarterfinalists. While challenging, the competition was a fun way to watch other high ranking teams and the tactics they used. We got to meet and play with a lot of other teams that we had not competed against in a long time. With the Battle at the Border competition on the horizon, Chezy Champs was a fun way to get ready for our many fall competitions to come.
