2017 Off Season: Beach Blitz Recap

By: Derek Rusher

After our wonderful 2016-2017 season, our team went to Chezy Champs, an off-season event located in Huntington Beach. We modified the robot with a button to light up LEDs for when we had loaded a gear. This allowed us to average ~5/6 gears a match. At the end of qualifications, we were able to accomplish a rank of 9 out of 36 teams. During Alliance Selection, we selected the 6th alliance to contain 294 and 5802. Unfortunately, we were defeated by the 3rd seed alliance 0-2 in the quarterfinal matches. However, Beach Blitz was a wonderful opportunity for our team and we are incredibly thankful for being allowed to compete!
