2017 Offseason: Chezy Champs Recap

By: Kunal Singla

After our fantastic 2016-2017 season, our team competed in Chezy Champs, a fun off-season competition in San Jose. We modified the robot by adding a roller to collect gears more efficiently; we averaged around 5-6 gears per match. During the qualification matches, we maintained a rank between 25-30 and in the last 3 matches we were able to accomplish a rank of 10 out of 40 teams. During alliance selection, we were selected into the 8th alliance by team 1678; we were joined by team 3476 and 3859 to compete against the other top 7 alliances. Unfortunately, we were defeated by the 1st seed alliance 0-2 in the quarterfinal matches. But all in all, Chezy Champs was a fantastic event and we thank Team 254 for inviting us.
